Group Brands US Products Under The BEST Software Corporate
Brand Name
IRVINE, Calif.
- July 31, 2001 -The Sage Group, plc, a leading supplier of
business management software solutions in the mid-market,
today announced that their US financial and time tracking
products will share the common brand name of Best. The change
will be effective January 1st, 2002.
"The
purpose of this change is to create a unified presence in
the US market place by combining our strong product brands
under a well-established US corporate brand name--Best"
stated Ron Verni, Chief Executive Officer of Sage US Operations.
"Our US divisions currently sell market-leading products
under both the Sage and Best brand names. Moving to one well-established
corporate brand will simplify the selling and marketing process
and let prospects know that Best is the one brand that can
meet all their business management software needs."
The
products that will be combined under the Best corporate name
include: MAS 90 and MAS 200, the market-leading business management
solutions for companies with 10 to 500 employees; Enterprise
Suite, a three-time winner of the Microsoft Industry Solution
awards; Platinum for Windows by SSI; BusinessWorks; DacEasy;
Timeslips; Carpe Diem Electronic Time Sheet; and TimeSheet
Professional. These products will join FAS, the number one
fixed asset management product; Abra, the market-leading HR
and payroll solution; and Imperativ under the Best brand umbrella.
The
Peachtree and One-Write Plus products will continue to be
marketed under the strong Peachtree brand, with the Best brand
name used as an endorsement rather than as a major branding
element.
The
branding change does not affect Interact Commerce Corporation,
publisher of ACT!, the best-selling contact management product,
and SalesLogix, the leading CRM product in the mid-market.
